Linda M. Pelc
Linda Pelc first perfected her artistic skills as a teacher of all disciplines of art in the public schools of Clymer, New York. She dedicated 28 years to inspiring young people to be creative in whatever they try. Despite retiring from public education, teaching never left her. Since 2006 she has instructed watercolor painting at the Tallahassee Senior Center, Tallahassee, FL.
In promoting the art of watercolor painting, she has held many Board positions in both the Tallahassee Watercolor Society and the Southern Watercolor Society including president of both. She exhibits locally in Tallahassee, FL, regionally and nationally and holds signature membership in Tallahassee Watercolor Society (TaWS) and the Watercolor Society of Alabama (WSA).
Bright colors and bold shapes dominate her paintings. They often add to the lyrical interpretations of her subjects. Knowing what the pigment will do, having good paper and the right brushes help in being successful. Passion is the key, though. She paints for the fun of the challenge and graciously shares her knowledge with her students.
